Wendy’s is expanding its presence in Maricopa, Arizona, with plans for a second restaurant. The new location will be situated at 41980 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway, away from the main strip, according to documents obtained through a public records request.
This new Wendy’s will join other fast-food establishments like Taco Bell and Slim Chickens in The Wells shopping center.
The proposed restaurant will cover 2,200 square feet and feature a drive-thru lane along with 22 parking spaces. It will be located next to Maricopa Kids’ Dentists and Orthodontics.
Wendy’s first opened in Maricopa in 2019, taking over a former Carl’s Jr. site at 21000 N. John Wayne Parkway. This expansion reflects the growing demand for fast-food options in the area as developers continue to introduce new dining choices for residents.
