In honor of National Cheeseburger Day on September 18, McDonald’s is offering a special deal on their Double Cheeseburgers. For one day only, customers can enjoy a Double Cheeseburger for just 50 cents when they order through the McDonald’s app.
This limited-time offer is part of McDonald’s ongoing efforts to provide great value to their customers. The fast-food giant has also announced that their popular $5 Meal Deal will remain on the menu through December. The $5 Meal Deal includes a choice of McDouble or McChicken sandwich, small fries, 4-piece Chicken McNuggets, and a small soft drink.
“They’re looking for even more great value from us, and this summer that’s exactly what they’ll get,” said McDonald’s president in a statement, referring to the company’s commitment to offering affordable options to their customers.
In addition to the National Cheeseburger Day deal and extended $5 Meal Deal, McDonald’s is continuing their “Free Fries Fridays” promotion. Launched in June, this offer allows customers to redeem a free medium fries with any minimum purchase of $1 every Friday through the end of 2024.
Other recent changes at McDonald’s include the introduction of Mini McFlurrys and sustainable McFlurry containers. The new, smaller McFlurry size is approximately one-third the size of the original, while the new containers are part of the company’s efforts to reduce waste.
McDonald’s is not the only fast-food chain offering special deals for National Cheeseburger Day. Wendy’s is offering a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger for just 1 cent with any purchase from September 18 to 22, while Burger King is giving away free Cheeseburgers with any purchase on September 18.
